If you’ve been experiencing pain or other chronic symptoms for an extended period of time and you haven’t found relief despite your best efforts, there is still hope!

Pain and chronic symptoms like nausea and fatigue are a danger signal created by the brain to alert us to a perceived threat. This signal can sometimes be habituated to fire long after the original threat has passed which is often the cause of chronic symptoms when all structural causes have been ruled out.

The good news is that since the pain/symptom response is a habit, we can retrain our brains to get into a more supportive replacement habit and lower the false perception of threat.

  • You are not broken. Your brain is simply responding to a threat that isn’t actually dangerous and it can learn how to reinterpret that signal.

  • The ability to re-pattern a well worn pain/neural pathway in the brain is within you. And you don’t have to do it alone.

Knowledge, Empowerment, Agency, Action, and Trust are key to shifting these old habits. Together we can take these important next steps in your recovery journey.
