Pain Keeping you up?

Many folks with chronic pain experience symptoms at night, either when they are trying to go to sleep or when they wake in the middle of the night.

Pain is a message to pay attention to our internal state. Sometimes this is the only time we slow down enough to perhaps be able to listen.

But this is very annoying because this is the very time we just want to get some rest.

Here are a few things that can help:

    • Sending self-compassionate soothing messages.
      • “This sensation is not dangerous.”
      • “I will be ok.”
      • “I am listening.”
      • “All emotions and sensations belong.”
