  • You feel like you’re not pulling your weight and have failed friends, family, and, somehow, yourself.
  • You suspect there could be a neuroplastic mind-body connection with your symptoms but you’re not sure how to get relief

  • You are not a problem. You are not broken. Your brain is simply responding to a threat that isn’t actually dangerous and it can learn how to reinterpret that signal.

 

As a Pain Reprocessing Therapist and a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), I help you

HOW DOES IT WORK? 

STEP 1: LAYING THE FOUNDATION 

The initial stage of our work involves learning about mind-body symptoms and their potential root causes, as well as the process of disarming the nervous system in order to repattern the neural pathways that activate the danger response. 

You will receive a curated list of resources on neuroplasticity, the fear/pain cycle, Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), and other approaches to healing neuroplastic symptoms. This information sets you up to better understand the mind-body connection and how our work will unfold, empowering you to take the lead in your healing journey.

STEP 2: CREATING A ROADMAP

Our work begins with a comprehensive assessment and a 90-minute debrief session which will  paint a picture of your health history and how stress has been a factor in your life. This process starts putting the pieces together and pinpoints what we need to work on, and the route we need to travel. 

STEP 3: TEACHING YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM THAT IT’S SAFE  and FORMING NEW NEURAL PATHWAYS 

We will then explore how you’re currently soothing your nervous system and identify the gaps that need to be filled in so you can start to feel safe in your body.

As a certified pain reprocessing coach, I teach you exercises to soothe your nervous system and craft your mind-body toolbox. These exercises may include but are not limited to

  • Breathwork
  • Guided Imagery
  • Safety reappraisal
  • Sensory integration
  • Somatic tracking 
  • Graded exposure
  • Vagus nerve toning
  • Leaning into positive sensations
  • Mindful Self-Compassion
  • Journaling

STEP 4: ADOPTING A MORE RESILIENT LIFESTYLE

As an NBC-HWC, I will assist you in exploring the possible emotional and mental triggers keeping you stuck in a danger response by investigating 

  • How you respond to stress
  • How you set boundaries
  • How you express or stuff your feelings 
  • What you really value in life and how your actions currently align with those values
  • What you’re avoiding
  • Tendencies toward people-pleasing 
  • And other ways you’re sacrificing your authenticity to be accepted by others 

This exploration will allow you to make adjustments to habituated patterns that will bring more ease, deeper connection with yourself and others, and minimize symptoms and their impact on your life. You will be able to take the tools and the insights you learn and apply them to your daily life beyond the coaching relationship, benefiting you for your lifetime.

The Commitment

We will meet over Zoom weekly or bi-weekly for a minimum of 3 months. 

The initial assessment review session is 90 minutes and all following sessions are 50 minutes.

Weekly Package $800 (12 sessions)

1 – 90 min assessment and 11 – 50 min sessions over 3 months 

Bi-Weekly Package $450 (6 sessions)

1 – 90 min assessment and 5 – 50 min sessions over 3 months

After the initial package is used, sessions may be booked à la carte at $85 per 50 min session.

Here’s what to expect from me as your pain reprocessing coach:

  • I will PARTNER with you to uncover what is already working in your healing and where underlying causes of symptoms may still need to be addressed.  
  • I will EMPOWER you to trust your own body again and discover the knowledge, tools, and strengths that will help you interrupt and repattern your pain response.
  • I will ENCOURAGE you to create experiments and solutions that align with your values and goals to get out of pain. 
  • I will SUPPORT you with empathy and without judgment and help you do the same for yourself.
  • I will HOLD you accountable to the goals and experiments you’ve set for your recovery.

You might be a good fit if:

  • You’re open to the idea that your symptoms are caused from a misinterpreted threat response, and that it is a learned pattern that your brain can unlearn
  • You accept you may need to change some ways in which you respond to your symptoms, your body, and the world around you in order to heal
  • You want to tap into your own inner capacity to heal instead of relying on others to “Fix” you.

You might not be a good fit at this time if:

  • You are attached to the idea that you can only heal from surgery, injections, medication, bodywork
  • You are overidentified with having chronic symptoms and believe that is who you are now
  • You are not open to challenging some of the ways in which you view your symptoms and yourself in order to heal
  • You are not ready to explore difficult sensations or emotions in order to release their control over you
If this is you. That’s totally okay! I had many exposures to the concept of mind-body symptoms before I embraced it myself. Readiness is everything.
