I am not sure what your mental, physical, or emotional state is like today, but if you are finding it hard to feel settled, feeling anxious, frustrated, hopeless, or just uneasy, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
It is important to know that.
It is not YOUR pain, worry, frustration, etc. It is THE pain, worry, frustration.
What this language shift does is give that state a bit of distance. It is something we experience rather then something that we possess. It is a passing state. It also becomes something that we ALL experience from time to time, a shared difficulty. This can make us feel less isolated in our discomfort.
Tonglen
In the meditation practice of Tonglen we are able to see the suffering, take it in, and transform it into love and compassion. This includes compassion for our own suffering, the suffering of others, the suffering of other life forms, and the suffering of the planet as a whole. It’s a practice of sending and receiving and allowing the infinite universe to hold what we individually cannot.

Healing in community
I have been thinking a bit lately about creating a safe community for people I work with, have worked with or met in the past, and others interested in staying consistently connected to mindbody work to recover from neuroplastic symptoms. A place were we can feel less alone on our journey, where we can support one another and practice together and share our individual and collective wisdom.
I have shied away from doing this for fear people wouldn’t want to join, or wouldn’t stay consistent, or the group would fracture and mutiny. But I am coming to the conclusion that none of these are reasons not to try.
When I read Priya Parker’s The Art of Gathering a few years ago, I learned that good communities have a clear purpose and guidelines so that everyone understands what is expected of them and what is expected from the group as a whole. This helps create safety.

Collective Wellbeing: a group practice, discussion, and support for people recovering from neuroplastic symptoms
This will be a weekly low-cost group that will run for multi week sessions.
